Rumpa–23 years old – is the sole income earner of her family. She says she learnt a lot through the Basanti program. Now she has purchased a sewing machine, she works from her home to sew clothing. She loves gaining new skills and has grown more confident. She hopes to provide a regular income for her family

Aridhi is 19 years old, but was married when she was thirteen. Her husband works in a shop. Though they are poor, she is resourceful. Basanti’s empowerment program is her first opportunity to get some new skills. She loves sewing and Aridhi’s dream is to begin a tailoring shop

Lobete (23 years old) faces many problems at home. Her husband is addicted to alcohol and cannot provide for the family. Now she takes great pride in sewing dresses for her daughter! Through the skills training program, she has gained much hope and confidence, and looks forward to a brighter future.
